UK Pop: Gerry & The Pacemakers
Gerry and the Pacemakers è il nome di un gruppo pop britannico, popolare durante gli anni sessanta. Originari del Merseyside, Liverpool, iniziarono la loro carriera nella scuderia di Brian Epstein e furono i primi a raggiungere il numero uno nelle classifiche di vendita con il singolo "how do you do it" nel 1963. Si formarono nel 1959: Gerry Marsden, voce e chitarra, suo fratello Fred, batteria, Les Chadwick e Arthur McMahon, rispettivamente bassista e chitarrista. Pubblicarono alcuni album prodotti da George Martin piazzando molti brani nelle classifiche di vendita e si sciolsero nel 1966.
