The Rats furono un gruppo pop Inglese formatisi nel 1963 a Hull. Nel 1966, Mick Ronson si unì alla band; pubblicarono soltanto alcuni 45 giri e il più fortunato fu "The Rise and Fall of Bernie Gripplestone". Si sciolsero nel 1969 e tutte le loro registrazioni sono raccolte nel cd postumo (1998) intitolato "Rise and Fall of Bernie Gripplestone and the Rats From Hull".The Rats Biography
